The planned remake of Jane Fonda's iconic 1968 pop culture hit
Barbarella hit a snag when director Robert Rodriguez and Universal could not agree on key elements of the production. Rodriguez walked away from the project, which had a screenplay by James Bond scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The aborted project has now been revived, sans Rodriguez, Purvis and Wade. Writer Joe Gazzam is working on a new script and the film will be directed by Robert Luketic (
Legally Blonde). For more
