Famed film historian and preservationist Robert A. Harris has publicly announced his ambitious plans to restore John Wayne's The Alamo to its original glory. The task will not be an easy one, as the original film materials have deteriorated drastically. Over $1,000,000 needs to be raised for the drive, with private donors being offered the opportunity to receive screen credit on the restored print.
