Actor George Grizzard has passed away at the age of 79. A frequent collaborator of playwright Edward Albee, Grizzard had originated the role of Nick in Albee's breakthrough play
Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf? (The part was played by George Segal in the 1966 film version). Grizzard, who had been battling lung cancer, had appeared in a number of high profile films including
Advise and Consent, Comes a Horseman, From the Terrace and Woody Allen's
Small Time Crooks. His last screen appearance was in Clint Eastwood's 2006 film
