Sir Sean Connery's long-running resentment toward the films that made him famous continues even today. He reportedly has snubbed MGM's invitation to participate in an event to mark the 50th anniversary of the series next year. Daniel Craig, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby are all indicating they are open to being part of the celebration. The absence of the first and most influential actor to play 007 would be glaring, but Connery has long avoided being part of the Bond hype.
