Soupy Sales, the icon of 1950s and 1960s children's American TV programs, has died at age 83. Sales' trademark brand of comedy involved hitting his guests in the face with pies. Many of the most prominent names in show business willingly appeared on his show for the honor of being "creamed". Among them: Frank Sinatra and Shirley MacLaine.
