Woody Allen, the man who married the adopted daughter of his lover, may not be the best character witness you could call upon if you were defending yourself in a sex scandal. Nevertheless, Roman Polanski has an ally in Allen, who says that prosecutors should dismiss the sex-with-a-minor charges that have plagued Polanski since 1977.
